Judy Johansen – Accompanist

Judy Johansen is one of the most versatile and accomplished musicians in the Inland Empire.  Not only does Mrs. Johansen accompany the Riverside Master Chorale for its rehearsals, but often has played piano or harpsichord for its performances.

In addition to sharing her talents with the Master Chorale, Mrs. Johansen teaches in many different ways.  She is currently on the faculty of Riverside Community College teaching Applied Piano, Class Piano, and Early Childhood Music.  Judy is the Accompanist/Music Director for Spring Musicals at Notre Dame High School in Riverside, California.  She has a private studio in her home in which she teaches 12 – 80 students, aged 3 to 85. The number of students varies as she says, “… depending on my other commitments in any given year.”

Mrs. Johansen is married to another musician/educator and is a proud grandmother of two girls. Judy states, “As time allows, I love to garden, tole paint, ride our tandem bicycle, and try to maintain our 1903 Victorian house.”
