John Byun – Artistic Director

Undergraduate Degree: University of California, Irvine

Major: Bachelors in Vocal Performance

Graduate Degree: CSU Long Beach

Major: Masters in Choral Conducting

John Byun received his BM in Vocal Performance from the University of California, Irvine and his Master’s in Choral Conducting form CSU Long Beach.

This is his sixth year at RCC and previously spent ten years at Murrieta Valley HS.  Mr. Byun has guest conducted the SCVA Men’s Honor Choir, Central California Women’s Honor Choir and many district honor choirs.

Mr. Byun is also the artistic director for the Temecula Valley Master Chorale.  He has performed with the Pacific Chorale, Opera Pacific Chorus, and Long Beach Opera Chorus.  Mr. Byun lives in Temecula with his wife Mary and children Mikail and Jade.
